10:56 dclarkrenton-1: fear mongering
10:56 jnaclia: Hmmm… I don’t like the tricky approach

11:05 dclarkrenton-1: Win - Win!
11:06 jnaclia: I think I will work on the 3 maladies of communication and debate less and listen more… even if I don’t agree necessarily..
11:06 ustreamer-83949: Hi Everyone, good comments..-Ian
11:06 ustreamer-83949: Questions or thoughts?-Ian
11:07 dclarkrenton-1: Could Responsiblity be inter-changed with Accountability?
11:09 ustreamer-83949: I think the difference is internal and external,Personally responsible and collectivly accountable-Ian
11:09 dclarkrenton-1: Somehow people can take responsiblity as it is less threatening, but accountability is… as you say a collective
11:10 dclarkrenton-1: So if a group of individuals are Responsible.. that in itself means they are/can be accountable.
11:10 jnaclia: Any idea when participants will be able to access the supplimental videos?
11:10 ustreamer-83949: If we are to be our best, we need to put accountablity pieces in place for use to be our best, that iswhy even great performers have coaches-Ian
11:11 dclarkrenton-1: chicken-egg thing again
11:11 ustreamer-83949: I have to shoot the videos but I amhoping for next Friday-ian
11:12 ustreamer-83949: I do think there is a linar sequence…a willingness to accept resp. leads to a willingness to allow acontablity-ian
11:14 ustreamer-83949: A person who grows in their leadership clearly realizes that they must put accountablity mechnisms in place to be their best_ain
11:14 dclarkrenton-1: Both responsiblity -> accountability -> leads to credibility for successful events or projects
11:15 ustreamer-83949: What is something that you will commit to?-Ian
11:15 ustreamer-83949: WOW that was good DCR-Ian
11:16 dclarkrenton-1: First things first? I have to learn how to prioritize… cause I’d like to commit to all.
11:17 ustreamer-83949: I am committing to focusing on putting systems in place that celebate others-Ian
11:18 ustreamer-83949: And personally I am focusing on listening better to my kids working on getting deeper ‘buy-in” on their part-Ian
11:19 jnaclia: I’m with you this month on the listening… so I understand what people REALLY need for buy-in - and what they don’t too!
11:21 ustreamer-83949: Good point, are we really listening for the attitudinal barriers that prevent buyin-an
11:21 jnaclia: As opposed to what we personally want/need to hear to make our lives easier
11:22 ustreamer-83949: True…I would suggest to be an effective motivator, I must understand what others need or want and their expectations-Ian
11:23 ustreamer-83949: and the key to that is effective listen (ears, eyes and heart)-Ian
11:23 jnaclia: Absolutely…. my task for this month!
11:24 ustreamer-83949: I will join u in that personal task!-Ian
11:24 jnaclia: Good to know I’ll have back-up
