Congratulations to the 6 Alberta winners of ‘Canada’s Good Food Hero’ Contest 2011!
Over 300 entries were received for the national Canada’s Good Food Hero Comic Contest! Six Alberta students were in the top ten across the three categories! That is a great response for the first year of this contest. Growing Food Security in Albert (GFSA) is honored to congratulate our six young Albertans and their supportive teachers in their amazing art work and creativity!

These young people are an inspiration to others! We know they will continue to talk to their friends, family and even people they don’t know about topics like sustainable agriculture, composting, processed foods, free-range animals, Fair Trade products and what healthy food really means.
GFSA was a proud partner in this project with Sustain Ontario, Food Secure Canada and Food Matters Manitoba.
