Learn to play a musical instrument, make a capote, dance a jig, weave a sash, and become immersed in Métis Culture – all of this in the beautiful setting of Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park.

MUSIC AND DANCE CULTURAL FEST

June 9 – 12, 2011
Early Registration and BBQ
begins on Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Daily – workshops: fiddle, guitar, piano, bagpipes, drumming, jigging, native crafts, capote making, moccasin making, sash finger weaving; Métis cultural venues, crafts for sale, learn Michif, tours to a Métis Hivernant settlement;

Evening Concerts featuring:
John Arcand, Gordon Stobbe, Daniel Gervais, Patti Lamoureux, JJ Guy, Lionel Gilbertson, Don Sawchuk, and Wally Garrioch.

Concert and Square Dancing 7:00 pm
Open to the Public: $10 at the door

Location: Whispering Pines Camp off Highway 41 at Elkwater Rodeo Grounds turnoff.

CULTURAL FEST REGISTRATION FEES: 4 DAY PASS: $100
DAILY PASS: $35 CABINS AVAILABLE: $15/night RV parking
(Includes instruction, cultural activities, meals, evening concerts)
