Well, it's finally summer! Yeah! And we know that you are all super busy with all of your summer activities. So to help you out this month, we are offering you not one, not two... not even three... but four different learning opportunities!

This month, we are offering four FABULOUS and FREE webinars that are part of the new ACE Communities virtual Learning Center.  Hopefully, one of these will mesh with your busy summer schedule.

And here they are:

Thursday, June 16th 10:00 – 11:30 am: Communities get better when their leaders get better. While there is much to celebrate in our communities, there are also challenges that will require the collective effort of many to resolve. While it sounds simple, ultimately it requires an investment in the development of local community leaders. In this webinar, ACE Communities Director, BRENDA HERCHMER, will introduce a number of practical tools and resources that will be ideal for individuals looking for personal development or staff who are responsible for working with community organizations.

June 21, 2011 at 10:00 – 11:00 am: Spend an hour with MICHELLE GREENWELL, movement specialist and motivator extraordinaire, as she shares some of her most popular tips for bringing seniors out of their shells and finding new ways to get them moving and participating. You will finish the hour with energizing tools, prop ideas for movement, music recommendations and motivation to try something new with your clients and your community.

June 23, 2011 at 10:00 – 11:30 am: Can we have a Sustainable Food System in Alberta? Please join us for a special presentation from SUSAN ROBERTS, Project Coordinator for Growing Food Security in Alberta. Susan uses an asset-based community building approach in her work provincially and nationally as a facilitator, project leader and manager, community coach, adult educator, and speaker.

June 24, 2011 at 10:00 - 11:30 a.m: Are you looking for ideas and activities that will facilitate a deeper understanding between teams of co-workers and/or volunteers (especially as new summer staff begin)? Do you want to enhance team performance, communication, trust, a spirit of cooperation, and helping out one another? This webinar with BARB PEDERSEN, one of our most popular facilitators, will help you get started with practical tools and resources for strengthening your team.
