April 13th Launch of Communities ChooseWell 2011!

The Alberta Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA) invites its members and allied stakeholders to attend the 2011 Communities ChooseWell Program Launch, which will take place on Wednesday, April 13th at the Leduc Recreation Centre in Leduc, Alberta.

The launch event will feature keynote speaker Susan Roberts, Project Coordinator for Growing Food Security in Alberta. Susan uses an asset-based community building approach in her work provincially and nationally as a facilitator, project leader and manager, community coach, adult educator, and speaker.

The launch will also feature remarks from Dr. André Corriveau, Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health; Terry Welsh, ARPA President; as well as Mayor Greg Krischke from the City of Leduc.

1:00 pm - Doors Open
1:30 pm - Susan Roberts delivers keynote address
2:00 pm - Leduc Boys and Girls Club Active Living Break
2:20 pm - Dr. Andre Corriveau, Terry Welsh, and Mayor Greg Krischke deliver remarks
2:45 pm - Reception

Venue: Leduc Recreation Centre, 4330 Black Gold Drive, Leduc, Alberta

*Access to the event is through the East doors. Please park in the East parking lot*
