Special Invitation: Provincial After-School / Critical Hours Recreation Strategy Workshop

Posted on: Mar 08 2010

Over the next few months the Alberta Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA) with funding support from Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation (ATPR) will be conducting the second and final phase of its consultations on how to best structure a “Provincial After-School/Critical Hours Recreation Strategy.” Building on the excellent background research and directions outlined in the 2009 ARPA report “After School Recreation Initiatives,” the next phase will focus on a few critical questions and some focused analysis and design work.

Your input to this work is critical, and we hope you will provide some time to speak with our Research Consultant, Graham Clyne or his associate, should you be contacted. You are also invited to an important one-day event being held on Friday, March 19th in Red Deer with ARPA members and other key community and governmental partners, to review a Draft of this work and collectively, refine a path forward. Please RSVP early as we only have a limited number (60) of spaces for this session. We do not have the ability to provide any travel reimbursements for travel to the session, however lunch will be provided.

Please RSVP for this important one-day at the following link:

Additional details on the March 19th session in Red Deer will follow shortly. We earnestly hope you can find a way to participate in this timely provincial dialogue.

Thanks in advance for your support and participation in this important work. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to be in touch.
