ACE Communities is looking for an E-Learning Centre Coordinator! The online Learning Centre is a key component of an ACE Communities/ARPA training and sustainability strategy designed to strengthen and develop community and recreation leaders across the province of Alberta and beyond. It is an ideal position for someone who wants to make a difference and grow with a challenging initiative.
While the Coordinator will initially focus on (1) coaching content experts / presenters, (2) hosting the virtual classroom / meeting room (Adobe Connect), and (3) administration, it is also anticipated the Coordinator will play a key role in contributing to, and potentially leading, (4) the long term strategic growth and sustainability of the Centre.
Reports to:
● ACE Communities Director
● Collaborates with the ACE Operations team re marketing, technology. webinar content, registration, policy development etc.

Education and Experience Required
● College Diploma or University Degree in Related Field
● Experience or understanding of recreation, community building and community leadership and its importance to quality of life
● Experience or Certification in an e-Learning Platform (preferably Adobe Connect) Experience in Customer Service, Coaching and Administration
● 5 - 7 years of experience in applying Internet communication methods
● Experience in application of Client/Customer Relationship Manager (CRM methods and processes)
● Resources to support a professional home office
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include (1) Coach content experts / presenters, (2) host virtual classroom / meeting room (Adobe Connect), (3) administration, and (4) contribute to strategic growth and sustainability.
1. Coach Content Experts (Presenters)
● Schedule and meet with content experts/presenters in a dedicated online meeting space in order to prepare and coach them to deliver online
● Advise presenters on audio/format preferences, layouts etc.
● Provide one-on-one training (if required), in the virtual classroom / meeting room (Adobe Connect) to familiarize Presenter with tools/functions
● Provide support for Presenters focusing on ‘online training methods’
● Coordinate shadowing experiences and group meetings (to debrief and tutor)
● Provide updates, information/knowledge for insight into ongoing activities
● Provide one-on-one and group tutorials where necessary.
2. Host Virtual Classroom / Meeting Room
● Set up online meeting space(s) with content that is appropriate to Presenters needs
● Provide technical support throughout duration of session
○ perform gate-keeping duties throughout session (allowing access)
○ manage needs and questions of individual attendees and technical issues
○ open/close audio conference and meeting
● Edit and provide access and a/v recording
● Provide Presenter with any contact information or chat history as requested
3. Administration & Organization
● Engage with potential, assigned and emerging Presenters with ACE/ARPA affiliation
● Liaise with other members of the Operations Team in order to complete tasks associated with the implementation of the ACE/ARPA Learning Centre e.g registration, marketing, policy, technology
● Supply detailed reports of activities, as appropriate
● Scheduling
○ Manage the Course Calendar (Google)
○ Configure the back-end of Adobe Connect for appropriate timing and access privileges
○ Set up and monitor registration, invitations, and other communication with Participants (Expression Engine)
○ Monitor and respond to demand for sessions
● Monitor, track, and report on number of participants
● Post scheduled session descriptions to announce sessions
● Respond to inquiries from (interested and/or registered) participants
Contribute to Strategic Growth and Sustainability of the Centre
• Track and report on issues and concerns
• Proactively seek solutions to emerging issues or challenges
• Research and make recommendations regarding trends and opportunities for revenue generation and Centre growth.
Benefits and Renumeration
• $35,676 - 41,775 (dependent upon experience, reviewed after 6 months)
