Creative Communities for Children & Youth Symposium

The Arts Network for Children & Youth has been working hard and is getting excited for our upcoming fall symposium at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. The symposium is offered to all who are invested in expanding the long term growth of the children and youth arts sector. Together with Harbourfront Centre, Department of Canadian Heritage and community partners we have been putting together a fabulous weekend conceptualized around cultural planning and creative communities. The event will include workshops, art practices, panels and discussions regarding toolkits, art organizations, facilitation, and multidisciplinary art making. 

Most importantly this weekend will be a time to implement strategies for our inaugural National Youth Arts Week in May, 2012. We will be asking the help of youth artists to assist in the planning, promoting and launching of the week long event. So, if you are a youth, artist, organization, municipal representative, cultural planner or simply interested in furthering the children and youth arts movement – this event is for you.
