Call for Judges - Edmonton Regional Heritage Fair

Posted on: Apr 28 2010 | Posted in: ACE Announcements

The Heritage Fair is fashioned after the popular science fair concept. The principles are the same except the focus is on Canadian heritage. Project topics are very diverse and may focus on history, heritage, geography or culture. The Fair is open to students in Grades Four to Nine. There are five regional fairs in Alberta, and nearly sixty across Canada.

Our theme for 2010 is The Arts. Edmonton’s reputation as a culturally rich city is grounded in the very earliest days of the city and region.

There is a need for volunteer judges to evaluate the students’ projects. Volunteer judges receive a full orientation prior to the opening of the Fair at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Judges’ Breakfast. Each judge will then evaluate five or six projects, and each project is judged three times. Judges will be finished before noon.
