Introduction: Recent studies show that participating in extracurricular activities can have many benefits for children, including positive academic achievement, improved psychological functioning, and good peer relationships. Some research suggests that these activities have a positive effect because they provide children with opportunities to explore their identity, develop initiative, learn to control their emotions, and acquire social skills.
