Grande Cache has submitted an idea to the Aviva Community Fund

The ACE 'Diversity Friendly Community' of Grande Cache has submitted an idea to the Aviva Community Fund - a competition that makes funds available of up to  $1,000,000 to create positive change in communities across Canada.

If their idea receives enough votes, Grande Cache will put the funds towards a dedicated space for arts and cultural activies in the town!

Their Goals:

• Makes connections with arts and culture groups, industry partners, institutions, community organizations, schools, municipal governments and volunteers
• Looks for ways to partner and to involve as many people as possible
• Works with community to coordinate, organize, enhance local and regional arts and cultural activities
• The dedicated space would allow an opportunity to highlight and showcase the local (regional) talent in our community
• Estabish a more perment arts program (pottery, vidoe editing, dance, guitar, music studio, etc.) in the community
• Providing a welcoming environment for those emerging artists to succeed and flourish
• Work with the schools to incoorprate arts and cultural activities back into the school cirriculum
• Working together to create Cultural Diversity
